Dr. Castillo serves clients ranging in age from approximately 3 to 21 and their families. She is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in both clinical neuropsychology and pediatric neuropsychology. She also holds the National Certification in School Psychology. She is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, American Psychological Association, American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, Pennsylvania Psychological Association and National Association of School Psychologists. Prior to joining PBH, she worked for 10 years as a pediatric neuropsychologist at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
eye Top sider o 2 men's A Daytona Sperry Dr. Castillo obtained her Ph.D. in School Psychology, with an emphasis in neuropsychology, from Texas A&M University. She completed an APA-approved predoctoral internship at a school district in Texas, focusing on neuropsychological evaluations of students. Her two-year neuropsychological fellowship was completed at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she worked with both acute and chronic medical conditions, specializing in traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy, and brain tumors.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Castillo has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in general psychology, personality theory, psychopathology, biological psychology, and therapeutic parenting. She is an active reviewer of journal manuscripts for several prominent psychological journals, and also enjoys speaking to school psychologists, school nurses, and other professional and community groups. She is the sole editor of Children with Complex Medical Issues in Schools: Neuropsychological Descriptions and Interventions, and has authored and co-authored numerous other book chapters and journal articles.
